Region 5 is in the Southeastern portion of Texas known as Southeast Texas. Southeast Texas is home to one of the world’s largest refining and petrochemical centers. Region 5 service the counties of Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton, Orange, and Tyler. In those counties, Region 5 serves approximately 90,000 students, 33 school districts, 6 charter schools, 178 campuses and over 6100 educators. The Region assists the district with improving student performance while promoting greater efficiency and effectiveness.
