In this session, TEA leadership will provide a clear, practical overview of Time and Effort requirements under federal guidelines. Participants will learn how to correctly document staff schedules, certifications, and payroll charges, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, avoiding audit findings, and aligning local processes to state expectations.

Combo Ticket Available

Our Winter Virtual Academy will be held January 27th and our Spring Virtual Academy will be held February 24. You may register for each academy individually, or select a combo ticket for the full academy experience!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When does registration open for the 2026 Virtual Academies?

Registration for both the January 27 and February 24 Virtual Academies opens on December 1, 2025. Each academy has a $200 registration fee. You may also purchase a combo ticket that will register you automatically for both academy dates.

  • What sessions and tracks are included in each Virtual Academy?

Each academy features 8 total sessions, including four focused tracks—Programmatic, Fiscal, TEA, and Other—plus one TEA-led general session. The Winter Academy will open with a TEA general session on Inventory Disposition and Management, while the Spring Academy highlights a follow-up TEA session focused on Time and Effort.

  • What form of payments will you accept for the Virtual Academies?

We accept electronic payments only, either by credit card or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). No checks or paper forms are accepted for Virtual Academies. All credit card transactions include a 6% processing fee. To avoid this fee, you may choose to pay via EFT.

Processing information for EFT payments will be available in an invoice once registration is complete.

  • Will session recordings be available after the event?

Yes. Select sessions will be recorded and available for 90 days following each academy, allowing attendees to revisit content or catch sessions they missed.
