2025-26 ACET Student Scholarships

Welcome to the ACET Student Scholarship Page!

High School Seniors:

ACET offers $1000 student scholarships for high school seniors across the state of Texas. Plus, the top scoring student in the state will receive the prestigious Wade & Sandy Burroughs Scholarship, also worth $500.

Eligibility Requirements

Attend a public school district or charter school
● On target to be a 2025-26 high school graduate
● Participation in compensatory educational programs (such as tutoring, mentoring, pregnancy-related services,
services to students experiencing homelessness or after-school academic assistance)
● Demonstrated commitment to improving academic skills through engagement in such programs

Step 2: Review the Rubric

Review the rubric below. Our ACET Regional Directors will use this rubric to evaluate the essays included in your application.

Step 3: Complete the Application

Eligible applicants must submit a completed application via the registration link no later than Friday, February 27, 2026 at 5 PM (CSt).  No portion or signature may be omitted. No FAX applications will be accepted and applications sent directly to the ACET Scholarship Committee Chair will be ineligible. You may access an electronic template of the application below.

  • When is the 2025-26 ACET Student Scholarship due?

The online scholarship application is due no later than February 27, 2026 at 5 PM (CST). No mailed in applications will be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

  • Can I save my progress on the application and finish later?

Yes! The application can be started and finished at a later date.

  • What are the eligibility requirements for the ACET Student Scholarship?
  1. Attend a public school district or charter school
  2. On target to be a 2025 high school graduate
  3. Participation in compensatory educational programs (Title I, State Comp-Ed, Career and Technical Education, Bilingual/ESL, State Comp Ed, etc.)
  4. Demonstrated commitment to improving academic skills through engagement in such programs
  • How much money does the student scholarship provide?

The scholarship covers up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and required books. Funds are disbursed directly to the recipient.

NAFEPA Student Scholarship

he National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA) awards four scholarships each year, honoring the legacy of Iva McCants, Stanley McFarland, John Pfaff, and Elizabeth Pinkerton—leaders who dedicated their time and talents to advancing NAFEPA’s mission as a professional organization.

Eligibility:
High school seniors on track to graduate by the end of the current academic year may apply. Applicants must attend a public school district or charter school with at least one active NAFEPA member. (For questions about membership, contact your state’s NAFEPA representative.)


How to Apply:
Applicants should submit their completed materials to their state’s NAFEPA representative by December 12, 2025 at 5 PM (CST). Completing the application linked below will ensure submission to our state NAFEPA representative.


Selection & Announcement:
Scholarship recipients are recognized each March during the Annual NAFEPA Conference. All applicants will be notified of the results following the conference.
